About SaaS Scored

We are an independently owned software review site. No corporate parent company, no VC investors telling us what to rank, no pay-for-placement deals — just research-backed reviews with every claim sourced.

Why we built this

We got tired of Googling “best email marketing tool” and landing on sites that clearly rank tools by affiliate commission, not quality. Sites that regurgitate feature lists from marketing pages without ever signing up. Sites that slap a 4.8/5 on everything because they earn more if you click.

So we built the review site we wished existed. One that aggregates real data from independent sources, publishes its scoring methodology, cites every claim, and tells you when a popular tool is not worth your money — even if it pays us a commission.

What Makes Us Different

Research-First, Not Marketing-First

Every review starts with Reddit threads, G2/Capterra/Trustpilot analysis, and independent test data — not the tool's own marketing page. We read hundreds of real user experiences before writing a word.

Every Claim Is Sourced

Scroll to the bottom of any review and you'll find our sources list. Every deliverability rate, pricing figure, and user sentiment claim traces back to a specific, citable source.

Published Scoring Methodology

Our six-criteria scoring rubric is fully public. You can see exactly how we weight deliverability, automation, ease of use, value, templates, and support — and check our maths.

We Call Out Problems

If a tool has a 60% negative rate on Capterra for account terminations, we say so. If pricing doubled overnight, we document it. We don't soften bad news to protect affiliate relationships.

Who Writes the Reviews

SaaS Scored is run by a small team with direct experience in email marketing, SaaS operations, and digital marketing. We use the tools we review — we've managed email lists, built automation flows, and dealt with deliverability issues firsthand.

Built SaaS Scored after years of frustration with review sites that rank tools by commission rate instead of actual quality.

As we grow, we plan to bring on specialist reviewers for each software category. All contributors will be named with their relevant experience listed.

How We Make Money

We earn affiliate commissions when you sign up for a tool through our links. This is how we fund our research and keep the site free. But here is what matters:

• Commissions never influence our rankings or scores
• We review and rank tools that have no affiliate program at all
• Our scoring methodology is public — hold us accountable
• We will always tell you when a popular tool is not worth the money
• Every page with affiliate links carries a visible disclosure
