Free email subject line tester
Use the tester above to identify length, clarity, formatting, and truncation risks before you send. The score is a revision aid—not a prediction of opens or inbox placement—so validate important campaigns with an audience-level A/B test.
How the score is calculated
| Signal | What the tool checks |
|---|---|
| Length | Character count, word count, and likely mobile truncation |
| Clarity | Readability, capitalization, and whether the main idea appears early |
| Pattern | Questions, numbers, personalization tokens, urgency, and emoji use |
| Risk flags | Common promotional phrases and excessive punctuation |
Methodology: twelve rules produce a normalized score from 0 to 100. Rules are deterministic and shown with specific feedback. They do not inspect sender reputation, authentication, list quality, or message body.
